Job description – 6 positions available

Do you want to make a tangible impact on access to healthcare in Cameroon? Join Exphar as a Medical Representative and play an active role in developing accessible and reliable healthcare solutions.

As an Exphar ambassador in the field, you will be responsible for promoting our products to healthcare professionals and building long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the medical sector.

Your mission will focus on three main areas:

1. Business development

You will be responsible for actively promoting our pharmaceutical products to physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals by highlighting their benefits, quality, and unique features.

You will also contribute to the development of our client portfolio by identifying new business opportunities and strengthening Exphar’s presence in the Cameroonian market.

In addition, your role will involve analyzing field needs and market dynamics in order to propose appropriate strategies and support the growth of our activities.

2. Market development

You will play an active role in identifying business growth opportunities and implementing initiatives aimed at strengthening Exphar’s position in the local market.

You will analyze market trends, customer behavior, and the competitive landscape to help optimize commercial and marketing strategies.

You will work closely with internal teams to develop and execute effective, targeted action plans.

3. Reporting & Pharmacovigilance

You will ensure accurate and timely reporting of your activities through the company’s CRM system, including visit records, activity reports, target tracking, and regular performance reporting.

You will also facilitate the effective flow of information between healthcare professionals and internal teams.

Finally, you will actively contribute to pharmacovigilance by promptly reporting any relevant information in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.

Desired profile

Below are the skills, qualifications, and competencies expected for this position:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum three years of higher education) in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field.

Experience

  • Proven experience in the sales or promotion of technical products (pharmaceutical, medical, or paramedical products).
  • Knowledge of the Cameroonian healthcare network is considered a strong asset.
  • An existing client portfolio is highly appreciated.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively organize field visits and travel schedules.

Technical skills

  • Proficiency in using a CRM system for visit tracking, reporting, and activity management.
  • Good command of standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite, email tools, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and public health challenges.

Soft skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation abilities and results-oriented mindset.
  • Dynamic, self-motivated, and proactive approach.
  • Ability to thrive in a demanding and multicultural environment.

Practical requirements

  • Valid driver’s license is mandatory.
  • Personal vehicle in good working condition.
